"mic one"

These three desktops are of an Electro-Voice RE-20 (PL-20) that the radio station that I DJ at (wuag) uses for the vocal mic. I was there late sunday and decided it might make some nice desktops. They are a little on the blurry side and a little noisy at full res because I shot it at a high ISO and shot it sans tripod. At any rate they are pretty nice as desktops. Hope you like them.

"green dog"

Heres a strange one for you. This dog was part of a kids concert with big fuzzy dogs as the musicians. Fun!

"fireworks two"

This is an alternate version of the other fireworks image below that I added a couple of simple effects to to make it a bit more dramatic and abstract for those of you who are into that sort of thing. Enjoy!

"fireworks one"

I shot some fireworks while I was running the sound on a stage at the seafood festival a couple weeks ago and I made this collage of the photos and made them a yellowish color for some sort of reason that i cant really explain. This version is simply a layered image of a few shots of fireworks.

"flower corn two"

This is another shot of the flowers that grew on a vine up the base of the corn stalks in the corn maze...

"corn two"

This is the other shot of corn that I promised. As with the last one the yellow is a little blown out but its kind of nice how vibrant the corn is.

"husk"

Here is a nice shot of a corn husk with the sun shining through. Composted specifically to meet your desktop needs. Well mac users anyways, but that doesn't mean its any less calming and fall-like!

"flower corn"

While wandering the corn maze there was a lot of these little purple flowers growing on vines up the stalks of corn and in this shady little corner I found a really pretty shot of them with the sun behind them. If anyone else can come up with a better name for this shot, please, let me know!

"mum one"

I do realize that flower photos are pretty cliche but i really liked this bundle of mums that was over at the pumpkin patch I was at this past weekend. I have three photos of these guys that are pretty nice and I will post the others soon. Enjoy!

"field"

This is a nice shot from slightly above the field of corn. I like the way there image feels kind of busy yet simple. When you get it up at its full resolution it all comes out nice and clear and looks pretty nice because of the saturation of the corn.

"corn one"

the yellow in the corn is almost to yellow and is a bit blown out but i still love this image. i shot this and the others in this corn field series in a corn maze / pumpkin patch which is why its starting to rot a bit there on the end. (because of the lack of upkeep) there is one more corn photo that i will be posting soon without that rotten part on the top. i prefer this one because it is framed better but anyways, you will see when i post it...

"seagrass two"

I love the saturated colors in this shot of the tops of some grass by the ocean. This image came out better than I thought it would seeing as the grass was constantly being thrown around in the wind and would not stay still for one second.

"seagras one"

The sand dunes surrounding the beaches were really amazing and were the home for lots of sea grasses holding the dunes together.

"ocean lake"

In some spare time before I left the beach area in NC I decided to take a trip on down to a beach. The beach was very cool and had these tiny ponds of water that were a few feet deep at places resting in the sand on the beach. If you looked around in them you can find little fishes and sea life. They acted as a nice wading pool for the seagulls which you can make out slightly there in the background.

"moth"

This moth was hanging out on my dads shirt while we were changing out bands on a stage. It had these huge eyes(?) that are kind of hard to see in this shot but I thought that this shot was the most appropriate one for a desktop because of the way its composed. It's wings are amazing and look like leaves from a tree!

"harbor chain two"

These two images of a chain were shot in a NC harbor that I was working near this past weekend. They were the guard rails to keep people from venturing to close to t he edge or the dock. I like the simplicity of this shot and the movement the chain gives your eye as it sweeps across the photo.

"harbor chain one"

this angle shows a bit more of the surrounding area which I like because the image lets this happen without being to distracting. The chain gives a nice focal point and you can kind of image yourself sitting there, leaning up against a post on a harbor.

"bolt three"

This little series of desktops I thought would be a nice addition here because I don't really have to much in the way of industrial type of images on twistedsun.net. I really like the detail that appears in these images. As with some of the close up nature shots, these bolt images seem to do a good job illustrating the subtleties in the world. It's just so cool thinking that there is some sort of story behind every detail in the world, even if it's a small one, it's still there.

Another angle of the bolts... again the detail in the shot is very cool when you see it at its full resolution.

"bolt two"

I like this series of bolt photos, they work well as a desktop simply because of the way they are laid out leaving some nice space for stuff on your desktop. I like this one simply because of the number stamped there on the washer. I have no idea what it means but I'm sure it's somebody's favorite number..?
