"old wood"
Description: "I took this shot while out on a relaxing hike around a lake. I spent the day with just me, my camera and my headphones walking through the woods around the edge of a lake randomly exploring and taking pictures of anything I saw as interesting as I went along. this shot was of a tree that had fallen along the path. I thought the subtle bit if red in the wood among they grey was really nice." -james

"hanging out"
Description: "This was also shot on my walk around the lake. off the side of the path I found a nest of caterpillars that was made of dense silk and had quite a few of them crawling around the inside. I stopped to take a number of shots of this, some of them were kind of creepy but the the way the light shone through the web was really nice." -james

"perspective streak"
Description: "I was out one night at the edge of downtown memphis by the river taking shots of a very large impending thunderstorm. as I was shooting there were trolly cars that kept crossing in front of me so every time I would do a long exposure shot to get a nice motion blur and for this one shot I played with the perspective to make it more interesting. it kind of forces you to look at it in a different way." -james

"round of lights"
Description: "I had not shot anything for a while because I have been so busy with school lately so one night I went to the fair with friend. I spent little time going on rides but rather took a lot of pictures. I did have a frozen banana and ride the ferris wheel once. As I was walking around I found this small marry-go-round that I thought looked really nice. I liked how the closer rim of the ride has a slight motion blur but the center is very sharp and how rich the red looks behind the lights." -james
